✧ Prohibition of Traveling Alone

الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مِنَ الْوَحْدَةِ مَا أَعْلَمُ مَا سَارَ رَاكِبٌ وَحْدَهُ بِلَيْلٍ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. ʿĀṣim from his father from his grandfather
  4. Jaddah ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "If people knew of solitude what I know, no rider would ever travel alone at night."
