أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَوْدِيِّ عَنْ وَبَرَةَ أَبِي كُرْزٍ الْحَارِثِيِّ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ
بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ إِذْ أَبْصَرَ غُلَامًا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ شَابًّا مُتَنَحِّيًا عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ يَسِيرُ فَقَالَ «أَلَيْسَ فُلَانًا؟» قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ «فَادْعُوهُ» قَالُوا فَدَعَوْهُ فَقَالَ «لِمَ تَنَحَّيْتَ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ؟» قَالَ كَرِهْتُ الْغُبَارَ قَالَ «لَا تَنَحَّ عَنْهُ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ لَذَرِيرَةُ الْجَنَّةِ» 8769 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَوْدِيُّ أَنَّ وَبَرَةَ أَبَا كُرْزٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَبِيعَ بْنَ زِيَادٍ يَقُولُ «بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ إِذْ مَرَّ بِغُلَامٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ» نَحْوَهُ

✧ While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was traveling, he saw a young man from Quraysh who had stepped aside from the road and was walking. He said, "Is that not so-and-so?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Call him." They said, so they called him. He said, "Why did you step aside from the road?" He said, "I disliked the dust." He said, "Do not step aside from it, for by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it is the perfume of Paradise." 8769 Abu Dawud informed us, he said: Al-Hasan b. Muhammad b. A'yun narrated to us, he said: Zuhayr narrated to us, he said: Dawud b. 'Abd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us that Wabara Abu Kurz narrated to him that he heard Rabi' b. Ziyad say: "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was traveling, he passed by a young man from Quraysh..." similar to it.
