أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُرَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ إِذَا أَرْمَلُوا فِي الْغَزْو وَقَلَّ طَعَامُ عِيَالِهِمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ جَمَعُوا مَا كَانَ عِنْدَهُمْ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ اقْتَسَمُوهُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ فَهُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Ash'aris, when they run short of provisions on a military expedition or the food of their families in Madinah becomes scarce, gather whatever they have in a single cloth, then divide it among themselves in a single vessel equally. They are from me and I am from them.'
