أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنَّهُ صَحِبَ قَوْمًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَوَجَدَ مِنْهُمْ غَفْلَةً فَقَتَلَهُمْ وَأَخَذَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَجَاءَ بِهَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَقْبَلَهَا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. Ādam
  2. Abū Muʿāwiyah
  3. Hishām from his father
  4. al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah

✧ He accompanied a group of polytheists, then found them off guard and killed them and took their property. He brought it to the Prophet ﷺ, but he refused to accept it.
