أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا غَلَبَ قَوْمًا أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى «أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا»

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ defeated a people, he liked to encamp in their open space for three days—or, another time he said, “he liked to stay in their open space for three days.”
