al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 8459

✧ well-known news that Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , is the Lady of the Women of Paradise except Mary, the daughter of Imran.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ فَأَكَبَّتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَارَّهَا فَبَكَتْ ثُمَّ أَكَبَّتْ عَلَيْهِ فَسَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ «لَمَّا أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَيْهِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ مِنْ وَجَعِهِ ذَلِكَ فَبَكَيْتُ ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَسْرَعُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي بِهِ لُحُوقًا وَأَنِّي سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ فَرَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي فَضَحِكْتُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill, and Fatimah came and bent over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He spoke to her privately, and she wept. Then she bent over him again, and he spoke to her privately, and she laughed. When the Prophet ﷺ died, I asked her, and she said: "When I bent over him, he told me that he would die from that illness of his, so I wept. Then I bent over him again, and he told me that I would be the quickest of his household to join him, and that I am the Lady of the Women of Paradise except Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran. So I raised my head and laughed."
