✧ The difference between the believer and the hypocrite

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحِبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ لَعَهْدُ النَّبِيِّ الْأُمِّيِّ ﷺ إِلَيَّ «لَا يُحِبُّنِي إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَبْغَضُنِي إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ»

Translation

✧ By the One who split the grain and created the soul, the covenant of the unlettered Prophet ﷺ to me is: "None loves me except a believer, and none hates me except a hypocrite."
