✧ Prophet's ﷺ guidance on the innocence of Ali

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِبَرَاءَةَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ «لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ هَذَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِي» فَدَعَا عَلِيًّا فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent Surah Bara'ah with Abu Bakr, then called him and said, "It is not appropriate for anyone to convey this except a man from my family." So he called Ali and gave it to him.
