أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ
بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُنِي إِلَى قَوْمٍ أَسَنَّ مِنِّي فَكَيْفَ الْقَضَاءُ فِيهِمْ؟ فَقَالَ «اللهُ سَيَهْدِي قَلْبَكَ وَيُثَبِّتُ لِسَانَكَ» قَالَ «فَمَا تَعَايَيْتُ فِي حُكُومَةٍ بَعْدَ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ sent me to Yemen. I said, "You are sending me to a people who are older than me; how will I judge among them?" He said, "God will guide your heart and keep your tongue steadfast." He (Ali) said, "And I never faltered in any ruling afterward."
