✧ The Virtues of Khadijah bt. Khuwaylid

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«مَا حَسَدْتُ امْرَأَةً مَا حَسَدْتُ خَدِيجَةَ وَلَا تَزَوَّجَنِي إِلَّا بَعْدَمَا مَاتَتْ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَشَّرَهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»

Translation

✧ I never envied any woman as I envied Khadijah, and he did not marry me until after she died, because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave her glad tidings of a house in Paradise with no noise or toil.
