أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ بِخَيْرِ الْأَنْصَارِ؟» قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «بَنُو النَّجَّارِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ» ثُمَّ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ فَقَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ ثُمَّ بَسَطَهُنَّ كَالرَّامِي بِيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «دُورُ الْأَنْصَارِ كُلُّهَا خَيْرٌ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Shall I tell you of the best dwellings of the Ansar, or of the best of the Ansar?” They said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Banu al-Najjar, then those who follow them, Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal, then those who follow them, Banu al-Harith b. al-Khazraj, then those who follow them, Banu Sa'idah.” Then he gestured with his hand, clenching his fingers and then opening them like one shooting with both hands, and said, “All the dwellings of the Ansar are good.”
