✧ The intensification of resentment towards the Ansar

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ جَارِيَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْأَنْصَارَ أَحَبَّهُ اللهُ وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ الْأَنْصَارَ أَبْغَضَهُ اللهُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Whoever loves the Ansar, Allah loves him, and whoever hates the Ansar, Allah hates him.”
