أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِي نَظَّارًا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَا انْطَلَقَ لِقِتَالٍ فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَجَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي أُمَّهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنِي حَارِثَةَ إِنْ يَكُنْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ وَإِلَّا فَسَتَرَى مَا أَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ «إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى»

✧ Harithah, my paternal cousin, went out as an observer on the day of Badr; he did not go out to fight. An arrow struck him and killed him. His mother, my paternal aunt, came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my son Harithah: if he is in Paradise, I will be patient and seek reward; otherwise, you will see what I do.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Umm Harithah, verily there are many Gardens, and Harithah is in the highest Firdaws.'
