أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَالَ «ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي» قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ «وَهُوَ يُقَاتِلُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قُتَيْبَةُ ارْمِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered his parents for me on the day of Uhud. He said: 'Shoot, may my father and mother be your ransom.' Qutaibah said: 'He was fighting,' and Qutaibah did not mention 'shoot.'
