أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمٌ الْجَرْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ قَالَ §اسْتَقْبَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ قَالَ «أُمَرَاؤُنَا يَأْمُرُونَنَا

أَنْ نَلْعَنَ إِخْوَانَنَا وَإِنَّا لَا نَلْعَنُهُمْ» وَلَكِنْ نَقُولُ عَفَا اللهُ عَنْهُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي فِتَنٌ يَكُونُ فِيهَا وَيَكُونُ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لَئِنْ أَدْرَكْنَاهَا لَنَهْلِكَنَّ قَالَ «بِحَسْبِكُمُ الْقَتْلُ» قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ عَلِيًّا لَمْ أُحِبَّهُ شَيْئًا قَطُّ قَالَ «أَحْبَبْتَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ» ثُمَّ أنشأَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَسَعْدٌ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ عَدَدْتُ الْعَاشِرَ يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ فَقَالَ «اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ»

✧ 'That we curse our brothers? Indeed we do not curse them.' But we say: 'May Allah pardon them.' I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'After me there will be trials, in which there will be such and such.' A man said: 'If we live to see them, we will surely perish.' He said: 'Enough for you is the killing.' Then another man came and said: 'I love Ali more than I have ever loved anything.' He said: 'You have loved a man from the people of Paradise.' Then he began to relate, saying: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, al-Zubair, Abd al-Rahman, and Sa'd were on Hira', and if I wished I would count the tenth, meaning himself. He said: 'Be still, Hira', for there is upon you only a prophet, a siddiq, or a martyr.'
