أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جَمْهَانَ

عَنْ سَفِينَةَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْخِلَافَةُ فِي أُمَّتِي ثَلَاثُونَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ مُلْكًا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ» قَالَ فَحَسَبْنَا فَوَجَدْنَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيًّا

Translation

✧ From Safinah, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The caliphate in my Ummah is thirty years, then kingship after that." He said: So we calculated and found Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali.
