وَفِيمَا قَرَأَ عَلَيْنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ §يُقْسِمُ قَسَمًا

أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِي الَّذِينَ تَبَارَزُوا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ حَمْزَةَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَعُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ وَعُتْبَةَ وَشَيْبَةَ ابْنَا رَبِيعَةَ وَالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ

Translation

✧ This verse was revealed about those who fought in single combat on the day of Badr: Hamzah, Ali, and Ubaydah b. al-Harith, and Utbah, Shaybah the two sons of Rabi'ah, and al-Walid b. Utbah.
