أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

خَلَّفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ «تُخَلِّفُنِي فِي النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ» فَقَالَ «أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي»

✧ In the expedition to Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left Ali b. Abi Talib behind. He said: O Messenger of Allah, "You leave me behind with the women and children?" He replied: "Are you not pleased that you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me?"
