أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَاجِشُونُ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فَهَلْ

سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِعَلِيٍّ «أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مَعِي أَوْ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ»؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ سَمِعْتُهُ قُلْتُ «أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ فَأَدْخَلَ إِصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ» قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِلَّا فَاسْتَكَّتَا

✧ Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to Ali: "You are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet with me or after me"? He said: Yes, I heard it. I said: You heard it? Then he inserted his two fingers into his ears and said: Yes, and if not, may they become deaf.
