أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي حَائِطٍ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَفَتَحْتُ لَهُ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَفْتَحَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَإِذَا عُمَرُ ثُمَّ اسْتَفْتَحَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَى بَلْوَى» فَفَتَحْتُ وَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِالَّذِي قَالَ قَالَ «اللهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ» [306] 8079 أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was in a garden when a man sought to open the door. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise." I opened for him and gave him glad tidings of Paradise, and it was Abu Bakr. Then another sought to open the door, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise." It was Umar. Then another sought to open the door, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Open for him and give him glad tidings of Paradise upon affliction." I opened and gave him glad tidings of Paradise and informed him of what he said. He said, "Allah is the one whose help is sought." [306] 8079 Ubayd Allah ibn Sa'id informed us, he said Yahya narrated to us, he said Ibn Abi Arubah narrated to us.
