✧ The Presentation of Gabriel of the Quran

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعْرَضُ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ فِي كُلِّ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ ﷺ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَكَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have the Qur'an presented to him every Ramadan. In the year in which he passed away ﷺ, it was presented to him twice, and he used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten nights. In the year in which he passed away, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.
