أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ كَذَا قَالَ عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مِنْ فِيهِ إِلَى فِيَّ قَالَ

وَقَالَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللهِ مِنْ خَمْسٍ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَفِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ

Translation

  5. Abīh Kadhā
  6. Abū ʿAlqamah al-Anṣārī

✧ And he said, meaning the Prophet ﷺ: “Seek refuge in Allah from five things: from the punishment of Hell, the punishment of the grave, the trial of life and death, and the trial of the false Messiah (al-Masih al-Dajjal).” This is an error; the correct chain is Ya'la b. 'Ata' from Abu 'Alqamah.
