أَخْبَرَنِي صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَابِسٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا ابْنَ عَامِرٍ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا تَعَوَّذَ بِهِ الْمُتَعَوِّذُونَ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of God ﷺ said, "O Ibn Amir, shall I not tell you of the best with which those who seek refuge have sought refuge?" I said: Yes, O Messenger of God. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.
