✧ Intensification of disobedience to the Imam

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ بُحَيْرٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْغَزْوُ غَزْوَانِ فَأَمَّا مَنِ ابْتَغَى وَجْهَ اللهِ وَأَطَاعَ الْإِمَامَ وَأَنْفَقَ الْكَرِيمَةَ وَاجْتَنَبَ الْفَسَادَ فَإِنَّ نَوْمَهَ وَنُبْهَتَهُ أَجْرٌ كُلُّهُ وَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا رِيَاءً وَسُمْعَةً وَعَصَى الْإِمَامَ وَأَفْسَدَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَرْجِعُ بِالْكَفَافِ»

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: “Military expeditions are of two kinds. As for the one who seeks the countenance of Allah, obeys the imam, spends generously, and avoids corruption, then his sleep and his wakefulness are all reward. As for the one who goes to war for show and reputation, disobeys the imam, and spreads corruption in the land, he will not return with even his basic provision.”
