أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

ذُكِرَ الْعَزْلُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لِمَ يَفْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ» وَلَمْ يَقُلْ «فَلَا يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَتْ نَفْسٌ مَخْلُوقَةٌ إِلَّا اللهُ خَالِقُهَا» اللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ

✧ Withdrawal ('azl) was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Why would one of you do that?" And he did not say, "Let him not do that, for there is no soul created except that Allah is its Creator." The wording is Muhammad's.
