أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمُرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّتِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَالْجِنُّ وَالْإِنْسُ يَمُوتُونَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: “O Allah, to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed, and upon You I have relied, and to You I have turned, and with You I have contended. I seek refuge in Your might—there is no god but You—You are the Living who does not die, while jinn and humans die.”
