✧ Protection from the Wrath of Hell

أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَايَةُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَوْرِ جَهَنَّمَ فَأَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ»

Translation

  3. Saʿīd b. Masrūq
  4. ʿAbāyah b. Rifāʿah from his grandfather Rāfiʿ b. Khadīj

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water.”
