✧ The Return of the Patient's Purity

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَادَهُ وَهُوَ لَا يَعْقِلُ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ فَعَقِلَ فَقُلْتُ «يَرِثُنِي كَلَالَةً فَكَيْفَ الْمِيرَاثُ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْفَرْضِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited him while he was unconscious. He performed ablution and poured some of the water from his ablution on him, and he regained consciousness. I said, 'I will be inherited by distant relatives, so how is the inheritance?' Then the verse of the obligatory shares was revealed.
