✧ Raising the hands before the knees

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَضْعَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ قَبْلَ يَدَيْهِ وَإِذَا نَهَضَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ قَبْلَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Isḥāq b. Manṣūr
  2. Yazīd b. Hārūn
  3. Sharīk
  4. ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb from his father
  5. Wāʾil b. Ḥujr

I saw that the Prophet ﷺ placed his knees (on the ground) before placing his hands when he prostrated himself. And when he stood up, he raised his hands before his knees. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 838)
