✧ The proverb of the disbeliever

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَنُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مِثَلُ الزَّرْعِ لَا تَزَالُ الرِّيحُ تُفِيئُهُ وَلَا يَزَالُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يُصِيبُهُ الْبَلَاءُ وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مِثَلُ شَجَرَةِ الْأُرْزِ لَا تَهْتَزُّ حَتَّى تُسْتَحْصَدَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The example of the believer is like the crop: the wind keeps bending it, and the believer keeps being afflicted with trials. And the example of the disbeliever is like the cedar tree: it does not sway until it is uprooted.”
