✧ The example of the believer

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ ابْنٍ لِكَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مِثْلُ الْخَامَةِ مِنَ الزَّرْعِ تُفَيئُهَا الرِّيحِ مَرَّةً وَتُقِيمُهَا أُخْرَى وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مِثَلُ شَجَرَةٍ الْأُرْزِ لَا يُقِيمُهَا شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تَسْتَحْصِدَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The example of the believer is like a tender plant of the crop: the wind bends it at times and straightens it at other times. And the example of the disbeliever is like the cedar tree: nothing straightens it until it is uprooted.”
