✧ Supplication Between the Prostrations

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَبْسٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ

أَنَّهُ انْتَهَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَامَ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقَالَ «اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ذُو الْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ بِالْبَقَرَةِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَكَانَ رُكُوعُهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ قِيَامِهِ وَقَالَ فِي رُكُوعِهِ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ» وَقَالَ حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ «لِرَبِّيَ الْحَمْدُ لِرَبِّيَ الْحَمْدُ» وَكَانَ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ «سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى» وَكَانَ يَقُولُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ «رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي»

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ and stood beside him, and he said, “Allahu Akbar, Possessor of dominion, might, pride, and greatness.” Then he recited al-Baqarah, then bowed, and his bowing was nearly as long as his standing. He said in his bowing, “Glory to my Lord the Magnificent, glory to my Lord the Magnificent.” When he raised his head he said, “To my Lord belongs praise, to my Lord belongs praise.” In his prostration he said, “Glory to my Lord the Most High, glory to my Lord the Most High.” Between the two prostrations he said, “Lord, forgive me, Lord, forgive me.”
