أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ سَمِعَاهُ من أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ

أَنَّ أُجَيْرِبَ أُزَيْمِنَ كَانَ عِنْدَ جِدَارِ سَعْدٍ زَنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُجْلَدَ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا بِأُكْثُولِ النَّخْلِ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ بِأُثْكُولِ النَّخْلِ 7264 أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مَاهَانَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ مُخَبَّلٍ أَوْ مُقْعَدٍ قَدْ فَجَرَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَضُرِبَ بِأَثْكَالٍ فِيهِ مِائَةُ شِمْرَاخٍ أَوْ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ

✧ Ujayrib Uzaymin was at the wall of Sa'd and committed adultery with a woman, so the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be flogged. One of them said "with a palm cluster," and the other said "with a palm branch." 7264 Ya'qub b. Mahan al-Baghdadi informed us from Hushaym, from Yahya b. Sa'id, from Abu Umamah b. Sahl, that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a man who was feeble-minded or crippled, who had committed fornication, so he ordered that he be struck with a cluster containing one hundred twigs or so.
