أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَيْدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ زَنَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَجُرِّدَ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مُقْعَدٌ حَمِشُ السَّاقَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا يُبْقِي الضَّرْبُ مِنْ هَذَا شَيْئًا فَدَعَا بَأَثَاكِيلَ فِيهَا مِائَةُ شَمْرُوخٍ فَضَرَبَهُ بِهَا ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً» اللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a man who had committed adultery. He ordered him to be stripped, and there was a crippled man with thin legs. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Flogging would not leave anything of this man." So he called for a cluster of palm branches containing one hundred twigs and struck him with it once. The wording is that of Muhammad.
