✧ The limitation of a man's stay to his wife when she commits adultery.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِذَا زَنَتِ الْأَمَةُ فَاجْلِدُوهَا وَلَا تُثَرِّبُوا عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا وَلَا تُثَرِّبُوا عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا وَلَا تُثَرِّبُوا عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ» قَالَ بِشْرٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا وَلَا تُثَرِّبُوا عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ

✧ "When the slave-woman commits adultery, flog her and do not reproach her. Then if she commits adultery again, flog her and do not reproach her. Then if she commits adultery again, flog her and do not reproach her. Then sell her on the third or fourth occasion, then sell her, even for a rope." Bishr said in his hadith: "Then if she commits adultery again, flog her and do not reproach her. Then sell her, even for a rope."
