أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ وَنُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْقُومُسِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَسْلَمَ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَاعْتَرَفَ بِالزِّنَا فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ اعْتَرَفَ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ حَتَّى شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «أُحْصِنْتَ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَرُجِمَ بِالْمُصَلَّى فَلَمَّا أَذْلَقَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ فَرَّ فَادْرِكَ فَرُجِمَ حَتَّى مَاتَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خَيْرًا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ» اللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ رَافِعٍ

✧ A man from Aslam came to the Prophet ﷺ and confessed to adultery. He turned away from him. Then he confessed, and he turned away from him until he testified against himself four times. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Do you have insanity?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Have you been married?' He said: 'Yes.' So the Prophet ﷺ ordered and he was stoned at the prayer place. When the stones struck him, he fled and was caught and stoned until he died. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said of him: 'Good,' and he did not pray over him. The wording is that of Ibn Rafi'.
