أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نُضَيْلَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنَّ امْرَأَتَيْنِ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ فَرَمَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا الْأُخْرَى بِعَمُودِ فُسْطَاطٍ فَأَسْقَطَتْ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا كَيْفَ نَدِيَ مَنْ لَا صَاحَ وَلَا اسْتَهَلَّ وَلَا شَرِبَ وَلَا أَكَلَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَسَجْعٌ كَسَجْعِ الْأَعْرَابِ؟» فَقَضَى بِالْغُرَّةِ عَلَى عَاقِلَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ

✧ Two women were married to a man from Hudhayl, and one of them threw a tent pole at the other and caused her to miscarry. They brought their dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'How can we pay for one who did not cry out, drink, or eat?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Is it rhymed speech like the rhymed speech of the Bedouins?' And he ruled a ghurrah upon the 'āqilah of the woman.
