أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
فَقَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَانْتَهَيْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ وَقَدَمَاهُ مَنْصُوبَتَانِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ»

✧ I missed the Messenger of God ﷺ one night and then came to him while he was prostrating, with his feet set upright, and he was saying: "O God, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and in Your pardon from Your punishment. I cannot enumerate praise of You; You are as You have praised Yourself."
