✧ Drinking Watered-Down Milk

أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسٌ

أَنَّهُ حُلِبَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَاةٌ دَاجِنٌ وَهِيَ فِي دَارِ أَنَسٍ وَشِيبَ لَبَنُهَا بِمَاءِ الْبِئْرِ وَأعْطَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ الْقَدَحَ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِذَا نَزَعَ الْقَدَحَ مِنْ فِيهِ وَعَلَى يَسَارِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعَلَى يَمِينِهِ أَعْرَابِيٌّ قَالَ عُمَرُ وَخَافَ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ أَعْطِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ عِنْدَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْأَيْمَنَ فَالْأَيْمَنَ»

✧ A domestic sheep was milked for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while it was in the house of Anas, and its milk was mixed with water from the well. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given the cup and he drank from it. When he removed the cup from his mouth, Abu Bakr was on his left and a Bedouin was on his right. Umar said—fearing that he would give it to the Bedouin—"Give it to Abu Bakr who is next to you, O Messenger of Allah." But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave it to the Bedouin on his right and said: "The right, then the next right."
