✧ Cutting meat with a knife.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فِي يَدِهِ فَدُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَأَلْقَاهَا وَالسِّكِّينَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَحْتَزُّ بِهَا فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ ﷺ

Translation

✧ He informed him that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cutting meat from a sheep's shoulder in his hand. He was called to prayer, so he threw it down along with the knife he was cutting with, got up, and prayed without performing ablution ﷺ.
