✧ If he eats alone

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْبِسْطَامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ السَّمَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنِي ثُمَامَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«ذَهَبْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَى بَيْتِ مَوْلًى لَهُ خَيَّاطٌ فَجَاءَنَا بِقَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا الدُّبَّاءُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَتَبَّعُ ذَلِكَ الدُّبَّاءَ يَأْكُلُهُ فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ»

Translation

✧ I went with the Prophet ﷺ to the house of a freed slave of his who was a tailor. He brought us a bowl containing gourd, and he began to pick out that gourd and eat it. I have not ceased to love gourd since that day.
