✧ Prohibition of sitting at a table where alcohol is being served.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَجْلِسْ عَلَى مَائِدَةٍ يُدَارُ عَلَيْهَا الْخَمْرُ» وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى وَإِمَّا قَالَ يُشْرَبُ عَلَيْهَا الْخَمْرُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Abū al-Zubayr
  5. Jābir

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Whoever believes in God and the Last Day should not sit at a table where wine is passed around." And on another occasion he said: "Or where wine is drunk."
