أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَوْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ

قَالَ مَرْوَانُ كَيْفَ نُسْأَلُ وَفِينَا أَزْوَاجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ؟ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَتْ «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَنَشَلْتُ لَهُ كَتِفًا مِنْ قِدْرٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ Marwan said: "How can we ask while the wives of the Prophet ﷺ are among us?" So he sent to Umm Salamah, and she said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out, and I extracted a shoulder from a pot for him, and he ate from it, then he went out to the prayer."
