أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ رَحِمٌ أَنَا بَالُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “O Banu ʿAbd Manaf, purchase yourselves from your Lord. I do not possess for you anything from Allah. O Banu ʿAbd al-Muttalib, purchase yourselves from your Lord. I do not possess for you anything from Allah, but between me and you there are ties of kinship which I shall keep moist with their due.”
