أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ بُنْدَارٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعَ أَبَا حَبِيبَةَ الطَّائِيَّ قَالَ

أَوْصَى رَجُلٌ بِدَنَانِيرَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَسُئِلَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ فَحَدَّثَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعْتِقُ أَوْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَ مَا يَشْبَعُ»

✧ A man bequeathed dinars in the way of Allah. Abu al-Darda' was asked, and he narrated from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "The example of one who frees a slave or gives charity at his death is like the example of one who gives a gift after he is full."
