أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ} [آل عمران 92] قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَرَى رَبَّنَا يَسْأَلُنَا مِنْ أَمْوَالِنَا فَأُشْهِدُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُ أَرْضِي لِلَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اجْعَلْهَا فِي قَرَابَتِكَ فِي حَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ»

✧ When this verse was revealed: {You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love} [Al 'Imran: 92], Abu Talha said, "I see that our Lord is asking us from our wealth, so I call you to witness, O Messenger of God, that I have made my land for God." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "Place it among your relatives—Hassan b. Thabit and Ubayy b. Ka'b."
