أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ عَنْ أَسَدِ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ الْكِنْدِيَّ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا فَإِلَيَّ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَهُوَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ وَأَنَا وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ أَعْقِلُ عَنْهُ وَأَرِثُ مَالَهُ وَالْخَالُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ يَفُكُّ عَنْوَهُ وَيَرِثُ مَالَهُ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: 'Whoever leaves behind a debt or a dependent, then it is to me; and whoever leaves behind wealth, then it is for his heirs. I am the guardian of the one who has no guardian: I pay blood money on his behalf and inherit his wealth. And the maternal uncle is the guardian of the one who has no guardian: he ransoms his captive and inherits his wealth.'
