✧ The inheritance of the only daughter alone.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ عَنْ سُوَيْدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو الْكَلْبِيُّ عَنْ زُهَيْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ الْبَاجَدَّائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي كُنْتُ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَلَى أُمِّي بِوَلِيدَةٍ وَإِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ وَتَرَكَتْ تِلْكَ الْوَلِيدَةَ فَقَالَ «وَجَبَ أَجْرُكِ وَرَجَعَتْ إِلَيْكِ فِي الْمِيرَاثِ»

✧ that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I had given charity to my mother with a slave girl, and she has died and left that slave girl.' He said, 'Your reward is assured, and it has returned to you in the inheritance.'
