أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
أُصِيبَ رَجُلٌ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ثِمَارٍ ابْتَاعَهَا فَكَثُرَ دَيْنُهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَصَدَّقُوا عَلَيْهِ فَتَصَدَّقُوا عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَبْلُغْ ذَلِكَ وَفَاءَ دَيْنِهِ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خُذُوا مَا وَجَدْتُمْ وَلَيْسَ لَكُمْ إِلَّا ذَلِكَ

✧ In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man suffered loss in fruits he had bought, and his debt became great. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Give him charity." They gave him charity, but it did not reach the amount to pay off his debt. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Take what you find, and you have nothing but that."
