أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ وَكَانَ بَيْعًا يَتَبَايَعُهُ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَبْتَاعُ الْجَزُورَ إِلَى أَنْ تُنْتِجَ النَّاقَةُ ثُمَّ تُنْتِجَ الَّتِي فِي بَطْنِهَا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of habal al-habalah, which was a sale practiced by the people of the Jahiliyyah: a man would buy a camel to be paid when the she-camel gives birth, then when the offspring in her belly gives birth.
